Blue Monday Laughter Workshop
Monday 16 January 2012 14:00
Known as Blue Monday, 16th January has officially been proven as the worst day of the year! To lift people's mood, Cam-mind ran a FREE Laughter Workshop in Cambridge in partnership with NHS Cambridgeshire, Richmond Fellowship and local Mind associations
You may or may not be aware that Monday, 16th January, has officially been mathematically proven as the worst day of the year! It is known as Blue Monday and is thought to be the most depressing day — linked to the weather, debt and the post Christmas blues.
To lift people's mood, NHS Cambridgeshire, Richmond Fellowship and the local Mind associations worked in partnership to run laughter workshops across Cambridgeshire. The workshops are based on Laughter Exercises with Yogic Breathing, which increases the amount of oxygen in your body whilst being playful; resulting in you feeling more healthy, energised and alive. This actually changes the physiology of your body so that you start to feel happier.
The Cambridge event took place on Monday 16th January 2012 from 2pm–3pm
at Cherry Hinton Village Centre, Colville Road, Cherry Hinton CB1 9EJ. It was
run by Aly Anderson from Cam-mind.
