UPDATED: Alice Clough and Tom Allanson complete Mongol Rally

Tuesday 19 July 2011

Following a successful art auction last Saturday, Alice and Tom will start their rally - in an ambulance - on Saturday 23rd July. We thank them for all they have raised for Cam-mind (£2,233 plus a painting) and wish them good luck for their long journey

UPDATE: We are delighted to report that Tom and Alice have completed their trip.

Over the last few months Alice and Tom have been hard at work raising money for Cam-mind and the Christina Noble Children's Foundation including a wine tasting quiz and culminating in an art auction at Haddenham Galleries last Saturday. The art auction was attended by Keith Evans, the chairman of Cam-mind, who spoke about our work and the evening was a great success, raising approximately £2,300 overall for the two charities. Alice's mum generously bought a painting called Flytrap 1 by Ruth Hawkins and donated it to Cam-mind as a raffle prize. You can find the artist's website at www.ruthhawkins.com.

We wish Alice and Tom well in their journey, which they describe as taking them over 10,000 miles to Mongolia, across one third of the world's surface, over 5 mountain ranges, across 3 deserts and through countries where roads don't even exist. We hope they won't need our good luck wishes as much as this sounds!
