Cam-mind supports OCD Awareness Week

Cam-mind are supporting Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Awareness Week 20th-26th February 2012

This is the third campaign week organised by the national charity OCD Action and aims to raise awareness of OCD amongst the general public.

Cam-mind runs what is believed to be Cambridgeshire's only OCD support group and its members are planning to take posters and information out to community buildings within their community. We are also having an information stand at the Grafton Centre in Cambridge on Friday 24 February.

Our OCD support group meets at 100 Chesterton Road, from 5.30pm to 7pm every other Monday. The group provides peer support to those with OCD together with close friends/relatives.

Our Chairman, Keith Evans and his family had a stall outside his house in the village raising money for Cam-mind. £1,363.95 was raised from bric-a-brac, books, tombola and selling teas/coffees. Our thanks go to all of them for all their hard work

We are delighted to announce that Richmond Fellowship, Cam-mind and Hunts Mind have been awarded the County wide contract for the Cambridgeshire Prevention, Recovery and Wellbeing Service by Cambridgeshire County Council
