Cambridgeshire Prevention, Recovery and Wellbeing Service
Wednesday 22 February 2012
We are delighted to announce that Richmond Fellowship, Cam-mind and Hunts Mind have been awarded the County wide contract for the Cambridgeshire Prevention, Recovery and Wellbeing Service by Cambridgeshire County Council

This service which comes into effect on the 1st April 2012 is an exciting opportunity to provide service user led activities that will aim to prevent individuals from mental health deterioration, which will work with people to achieve their potential and one that will be innovative and meaningful.
Activities that we will provide include Recovery based workshops looking at Health and Wellbeing, Coping with Anxiety and Depression and many others which we believe will support our service users in making positive and sustainable changes to their lives.
There will be some changes involved in making this transition. For instance we realise there are large pockets of Cambridgeshire, often the most rural, where services are limited — we will improve this. We know that there are many younger adults who need different types of interventions who feel excluded now; we will work with our partners such as Squeaky Gate to develop more attractive opportunities.
Between Richmond Fellowship, Cam-mind and Hunts Mind there are many years of experience which we will draw on to develop this new service. We are also keen to hear from you, if you have any thoughts or ideas about what you would like to see as part of this new service please contact adele.mccormack@huntsmind.org.uk who is the countywide service user engagement worker, or call us on 01223 311320.
