Cam-mind celebrates 20 years at Barrere House

Monday 21 December 2009—Cambridge

Cam-mind Residents, Staff and Trustees held a lunch party on Friday 21st December to celebrate 20 years of working from Barrere House, their premises at 100 Chesterton Road, Cambridge. The house was originally a remarkable gift from Madame Barrere who sadly died on November 27th this year.

Keith Evans, Cam-mind Chairman, said “Without Madame Barrere's help 20 years ago and the support she has regularly given since 1987 we could not have grown and helped so many people along the way. A lot has happened in the last 20 years and our oldest residents have seen all the changes through with us”.

It is the Centenary year of Cam-mind in 2008, when many fundraising events are planned to make this a very special year.

If you would like to help there will be plenty and varied opportunities available. Any time you can give to volunteer would be greatly appreciated.
