Training

Cam-mind offers a range of training for local employers and the general public. In particular we run the nationally-recognised Mental Health First Aid Training (MHFA) and are about to start offering Youth Mental Health First Aid (Youth MHFA) — plus our stress-busting, team-building Laughter Wrkshps! See below for more information about this training and the local MINDFUL EMPLOYER network that we help to run locally alongside the two other Cambridgeshire Minds and other public and private sector employers.

MHFA England

Mental Health First Aid

Mental health first aid (MHFA) is the help given to someone experiencing a mental health problem before professional help is obtained.

Cam-mind is one of the first organisations locally to offer the new, national, certificated Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course.

MHFA England

Youth Mental Health First Aid

Youth MHFA is the help given to a young person experiencing a mental health problem, before professional help is obtained.

The course equips participants with the skills they need to recognise the symptoms of emotional/ mental health problems, support a young person experiencing mental distress and signpost them appropriately.

Laughter Workshops

Smiley face

Laughter Wrkshps! combine elements of yoga (in terms of yogic breathing) with fun exercises/activities — including the sorts of childish games we might play (and enjoy) at Christmas but rarely do at any other time.

We are now able to offer Laughter Wrkshps! within workplaces and other organisations as well as regular internal sessions within Cam-mind.

Mindful Employer

Cambridgeshire Mindful
Employer Network

Cam-mind has joined forces with Hunts Mind and Peterborough & Fenland Mind (working jointly as the Cambridgeshire Minds Partnership) to facilitate the launch of a Cambridgeshire-wide Mindful Employer Network.
