Description
A group of 5 properties located around Cambridge City are available for single
adults with mental health needs. Each resident is offered support in relation to
their individual needs. Each tenant has their own bedroom but kitchen, bathroom,
sitting room and garden facilities are shared with the other residents.
The properties are fully furnished.
Housing Services
At these 5 properties Cambridge Housing Society offers the following services:
- Cleaner for communal areas
- Pay telephone
- Television and television license in communal sitting room
- Garden maintenance
- Window cleaning
- Furniture, carpets, curtains throughout each property in communal areas
- Cooker and fridge in communal kitchen
Support
A support service geared to the individual needs of residents is provided by Cam-mind
Support Workers. The level of support will vary according to the needs of the individual,
but will normally average around two or three hours per week. This support could include
assistance or advice with:
- Managing money or help with benefit claims
- Practical support with everyday things, such as shopping, managing medication or attending GP appointments or help with laundry or cleaning
- Social support which could be help in accessing groups or other activities available in the community.
- Emotional support you may need someone you know you can talk to.
Rights
Each resident is given an occupancy agreement with Cambridge Housing Society.
It states the responsibilities and obligations of the resident and the Society.
